Health Care Services Course

  • Works as nursing assistants in hospitals and caregivers in homes;

  • Intensive hands-on training, actual demonstrations, and lectures in providing nursing assistance in a standard health care facility; based on a hospital set-up;

  • Teaches basic, common, and core competencies of health care services course e. g. handling of patients; providing bedside care; applying first aid and basic life support; infection control policies/procedures;

  • Class size: Group class (at least 10 students);

  • Schedule of Classes: Monday to Friday (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p. m.;

  • Numbers of learning hours: Approximately eight (8) months; inclusive of the two (2) months on-the-job-training (OJT) in a tertiary hospital, nursing home, and health center;

  • Full tuition or at least 50% of the tuition fee payable on enrollment including miscellaneous fees. School reserves the right to discontinue the training if tuition fee is not fully paid;

  • Scholarship (maximum of P14,500) available for OWWA members and dependents upon approval of application;

  • Clinical instructor fee during OJT and TESDA assessment fee are to be paid by student; and

  • School and PE uniforms are included in the tuition fee.
